ABOUT COCOA COUTURE

Cara Wagstaff is the creative force behind the bridal boutique Cocoa Couture. Cara has dressed a generation of women on their special days as well as many other high-profile occasions!

Having graduated from Loughborough, under the late Winfred Aldridge, Cara first started out as a visual merchandiser for Richard shops in London, where she travelled the country teaching junior merchandisers how to create visually exciting window displays to entice and excite the public. Cara then went on to lecture in fashion design alongside owning her own business in the heart of Birmingham, selling antique fabrics and lace; this is where her love for couture bridal began.

In 1990 Cara took over Cheltenham bridal boutique Cocoa Couture, she began to introduce traditional corsetry into the gowns making them fit the female form beautifully as well as using luxurious antique fabrics and laces to make the most unique bridal gowns in the country.

Cocoa Couture has since gone from strength to strength under Cara’s creative direction and has established itself within the luxury bridal market, celebrating its 27th-anniversary last year.
